engagement photo inspiration

Our engagement shoot is officially one month away.  And I have NO clue what to wear!  We are set to shoot in Lake Geneva: on the lake, in a woodsy area, etc.  What do you think about the above 7 dresses? Which would would you choose?

Let me start off by saying, I am borderline obsessed with these metallic loafers from ShoeMint. 

Now, let me rant. I am really struggling with shopping online lately. I am ALWAYS a size 5 in shoes and I some how always forget ShoeMint runs a little small.  So, I shoved my feet into these bad boys for the day (not a pretty sight). Beauty is pain, my friends. Beauty is pain. I may or may not have my shoes under my desk stuffed with wooden shoe trees... hopefully they stretch out before I have to get up from my desk!

I fell in love with this dress online.  I ordered it, unsure of the fit, and unfortunately bought a dress that was WAY too big. I have had it in my closet ever since because I do not have the heart to let it go.   I keep telling myself that I will get it altered one day.  So today, I came up with the brilliant idea to match it with my military vest from Urban.  This way it hides the fact that it is too big on the sides.  Woo hoo!

I am in desperate need of new summer dresses I can wear to work. I have been digging through my closet thinking to myself, "didn't I wear that just the other day?" when looking at about every dress I own. Then, I came upon this little number. I have had this dress in my closet so long that I did not remember when or where I bought it.I was pleasantly surprised when I read Forever21 on the tag! Thanks Forever, I owe ya one. 

city escape

We went to Lake Geneva for the weekend.  It was a nice escape from the busy city.
